Hi there…

Everyone’s story matters and every life is worth living.

I’m Natasha Vand, a licensed marriage and family therapist here in the South Bay of LA. I work to inspire and empower my clients, while helping them gain a healthier relationship with themselves and others. I myself have struggled with being emotionally sensitive and navigating my life experiences because of it, and through my personal work in learning various therapeutic modalities and many helpful tools, I gained a passion for sharing the knowledge, compassion, and skills to build the life one wants.

I enjoy working with adults as well as adolescents, and my experience revolves around helping those who struggle with overwhelmingly strong emotions and ineffective behaviors that get in the way of their goals or relationships. I have experience working with those struggling with anxiety, shame, grief, depression, and trauma, along with relationships inside the home and out. I teach my clients how to pause in life so that they can respond with decision and self respect rather than reacting from emotion. If you feel stuck, let me help.

My approach is mindfulness based and goal oriented, while providing a nonjudgmental collaborative environment for us to discuss, set goals, and troubleshoot for progress. I help my clients learn new skills to manage life’s stressors, whether they’re internal stressors or external stressors from relationships and their environment.

I am intensively trained in evidence-based treatments: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure (PE) for trauma work. I also incorporate other therapeutic modalities as needed to meet each client's particular needs and goals. While working together, I have again and again seen beautiful change in my clients. Doing what I do is so rewarding as I see my clients take initiative toward the life they want, a life they see worth living.

We're all doing the best that we can, while also working to improve ourselves. Just by being here, you seem to be on that path as well. Welcome.
